The Cortadura beach is located at the entrance of Cadiz and reaches all the way to the town of San Fernando. Victoria Beach is recognized among the six highest-quality beaches of Spain. It's the main city beach and is very popular and well known. La Caleta is located in the historical centre of the city. It was a natural harbor where ships sailed and anchored by the Phoenicians, Carthaginians and Romans. This is probably the 2nd most popular beach in Cádiz. Santa María del Mar beach is a continuation of the Victoria beach and begins between the old and the new parts of Cadiz. It is the next beach after La Caleta.
