The Natural Park of the Alcornocales is directly related with the routes of the White towns, in the interior of the province of Cadiz. These towns are inside the diameter of the Natural Park of the Alcornocales. Localiteis such as Arcos de la Frontera, Jimena, Castellar de la Frontera, El Bosque, Ubrique, Ronda, are each municipalities, some of which belong to the province of Malaga like Ronda and Benaojan that have an enchanting beauty. Cadiz and Malaga are two different provinces that go hand in hand, since this region is closely tied, although Cadiz is bigger. This area is full of completely white towns, with cobble stoned roads that give it a peculiar style. From there comes the name Pueblos Blancos (white towns), from the purity of each corner and the lovely Natural Parks that surround it such as Los Alcornocales or Grazalema.
The white town tour is considered a historic tour through this area of Spain. Here the iberians, celtic, romans, Visigoths, arabs, and christians roamed. The biggest legacy left behind was from the arabs with their purely white homes, fortress castles, cobble stone roads, and their luminous homes where the smell of jasmine still remains.
The tours through the white towns should be divided into western, central and northern excursions. |
