Just 9 kilometres west of Sanlúcar, you'll find Chipiona. It's a popular resort with very clean beaches. Apparently the waters are rich in iodine. It's gets very crowded during peak season.

Chipiona is a pretty little -su-interior-pueblos-blancos,town. It's gets very lively and is a good place to go out at night. Visitors come back year after year, and first time visitors quickly become regulars. Chipiona is probably most famous for its Moscater wine, which is superb.

You can sea many Roman ruins in the areas surrounding Chipiona. Some date back as far as 140BC. There's also a huge lighthouse that was used to guide sailors when sailing the rough Atlantic seas.
