Puerto Real is a lively student town. It has a population of around 37,000 people. The town is completely surrounded by pine groves, distinguishing it from other towns in the region. It's seperated from Cádiz by a huge bridge that crosses the bay.

It was designed according to a strict city design plan; all the streets were arranged on a grid pattern. They're still this way today.

The port is constantly being used. Naval and shipbuilding industries are very important to the town's economy.

Some of the faculties from Cádiz university are based here. Puerto Real has a vibrant atmosphere. There are interesting cultural events taking place all year round. It's a great place for theatre, literature, and art.

Puerto Real has excellent sports facilities. There is a top-class sports centre and an olympic sized swimming pool.
